About the Company

Our client, an established reseller business in the agribusiness field, supplies a wide range of agronomy services, agchemicals, fertiliser and general rural merchandise and has a reputation for innovation in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Developing annual merchandise sales and inventory budgets for presentation to Directors for approval
  • Achieving the agreed annual sales and inventory budgets
  • Maintaining margins within budget, ensuring margins are not unnecessarily eroded, but at a level to meet competition
  • Ensuring adequate seasonal lines are stocked throughout, and early action implemented to minimise the carry-over of stock at the end of season
  • Planning and implementing activity for seasonal promotions, including client canvassing, field days, crop walks, etc
  • Developing a close relationship with key suppliers, and working with them on seasonal plans

Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills

You will have excellent communication, computer and problem solving skills, a customer service focus with strong leadership and mentoring skills. Capable of working unsupervised, you will display the confidence to negotiate at all levels complemented by exposure to the full range of services offered in a rural agency business.
