About the Company
Our client is the largest rural dairy agribusiness in Australia, retailing merchandise, feed and fertiliser to farmers across Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.
About the role
The Technical Sales Agronomist is responsible for developing and fostering strong relationships with a targeted portfolio of existing and new clients, providing agronomic and technical advice whilst promoting product sales, innovations and service solutions in line with company and sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide sound & credible agronomic advice
- Develop and foster strong relationships
- Address and resolve client issues in an appropriate and timely manner
- Target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input
- Manage and document client communications
- Remain informed on new developments in technology and products
- Assist with coordinating field
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
- Minimum Bachelor of Agricultural Science and/or relevant industry training
- Previous experience in an Agronomist role in the retail industry
- Proven experience and knowledge of the agricultural retail industry
- Demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
